Five more died at Rajshahi Medical College

In the last 24 hours, five more people have died in the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College (RAMEC) Hospital. Four of them died of corona symptoms and one died of other physical complications despite being corona negative.

They died while undergoing treatment between 9am on Monday and 9am on Tuesday.

Four residents of Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Pabna died of corona. The person who lost his life despite being a corona negative is a resident of Naogaon.

Director of Ramek Hospital Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani said 122 patients were admitted to the 240-bed corona unit of the hospital till 9 am on Tuesday. At present 58 people are admitted to hospitals in Rajshahi, 19 in Chapainawabganj, 13 in Natore, 15 in Naogaon, 12 in Pabna, 3 in Kushtia, one in Chuadanga and one in Sirajganj.

There are 25 people admitted to the hospital with corona. There are 70 people admitted with corona symptoms. Besides, 23 people have been admitted in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 23 people have recovered and left the hospital.

Earlier on Monday, samples of 94 people were tested at the Ramek Hospital lab and corona was found in 8 samples. On the same day, 28 more people were tested in Rajshahi Medical College Lab. Of these, 11 have been identified as Corona. Corona was detected in 4.21 per cent of Rajshahi and 5.74 per cent in Chapainawabganj.

Incidentally, 126 people have died in the corona unit of Ramek Hospital in these 21 days of this September. Of these, 41 died of corona, 78 of symptoms and 9 died of other physical complications due to corona negative.
