Sinha murder case, fourth phase of testimony begins

The fourth phase of testimony in the murder case of retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan has begun.

On Tuesday (September 28) at 10:15 am, Cox’s Bazar District and Sessions Judge. Testimony began in Ishmael’s court. Will continue until the afternoon. Judicial proceedings began with the testimony of the 15th witness in the case. Earlier, Sergeant Ayub Ali testified on the last day of the third phase of testimony. Shaheen Abdur Rahman and Hafeez Saleh Ahmed.

Cox’s Bazar District and Sessions Judge’s Court Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Faridul Alam confirmed the matter. Fifteen accused in the case have been produced in court.

The third phase of the case was held for three consecutive days from September 20 to September 22 and the second phase of the case was held for four consecutive days from September 5 to September 6.

Earlier, in the first phase from August 23 to 25, the court of Cox’s Bazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ismail concluded the testimony of witness No. 1 and plaintiff Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous and witness No. 2 witness Shahedul Islam Sifat. A total of 14 people, including plaintiff and Sinha’s elder sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, testified in the court in three stages out of 63 witnesses. The lawyers of the accused have also completed their interrogation.

Retired Army Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was shot dead by police at Shamlapur check post in Baharchhara union of Teknaf upazila on the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive road on July 31 last year.
