One day the Taliban must be recognized: Imran Khan

Today or tomorrow; The United States must recognize the Taliban. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has made such remarks in an interview with TRT World.

Imran Khan said the United States was shocked and confused by the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan. The Pakistani Prime Minister expressed concern that if the US administration does not release the seized reserves in Afghanistan, it will create extreme instability in the country.

Asked if he considered himself a Taliban supporter, he said he was opposed to a military solution. Pakistan’s support for the Taliban alone will not make much difference in Afghanistan. Rather, recognition of neighboring or regional powers will be the effective way to resolve the crisis. Imran Khan also said that talks are underway with several parties. He also spoke on the Kashmir issue.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan added that Pakistan’s relations with the United States are many years old. But on the Afghan issue, we think the current role of the United States is quite complex. If they do not release the confiscated money, the Afghan people will suffer the most. And when it comes to human rights abuses by the Taliban, the Kashmir issue should also be discussed. Thousands of Indian troops have imprisoned Kashmir for its 6 million inhabitants.
