The DU hall is opening after a year and a half

The halls of Dhaka University were closed for more than a year and a half due to the outbreak of coronavirus. It is finally being opened for students on Tuesday in the hope of controlling the situation somewhat. Students will be able to take position in their respective halls from 8 am by showing suitable papers.

The university and hall authorities have already completed all the preparations for the students to get up. An additional basin has been installed in the hall for the students to wash their hands. Apart from whitewashing the hall, minor renovations have also been done.

Earlier, on September 26, Honors Final and Masters students who had received at least one dose of vaccine started using the university’s central library and departmental seminars.

According to the decision of the syndicate meeting of the university on September 18, the students who have taken at least one dose of vaccine will be able to enter the hall by showing the certificate and the identity card of the university.

University Proctor Professor. AK Golam Rabbani said, ‘We opened the hall a little late due to the university admission test. I have already had many meetings with the hall presidents. Everyone is fairly informed of their readiness. Hopefully, we will be able to pick up the fourth and master’s students as per our decision. ‘

On the other hand, for the DU teachers-students, officers-employees, the martyred intellectual Dr. Corona vaccination has started through a special temporary camp at Mohammad Murtaza Medical Center.
