63 arrested in anti-drug operation in the capital
       

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 63 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.

At the time, 12,006 pieces of yaba, 22 kg 295 g of cannabis, 82 g of heroin and 118 bottles of phencidyl were seized from the arrested.

This information was confirmed by the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP on Monday (October 11).

The DMP said the operation was conducted from 8am on Sunday (October 10) to 8am on Monday as part of a regular anti-drug drive. During the operation, 63 people were arrested for selling and consuming drugs. At the time, 12,006 pieces of yaba, 22 kg 295 g of cannabis, 82 g of heroin and 118 bottles of phencidyl were seized from the arrested. 36 cases have been filed against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act.
