A robber was killed in a gunfight with RAB in Banshkhali
       

Chittagong Banshkhali RAB said in a gunfight. A robber named Alamgir (45) was killed.

The incident took place at Gandamara village of the upazila on Wednesday morning.

This information has been confirmed by Chittagong RAB Assistant Director (Media) Nurul Absar.

The deceased was identified as Ali Ahmed of Ward 4 of Gandamara Union under Alamgir upazila. He is a member of the bandit group, said RAB-7.

According to the RAB, four different types of firearms, two Ramdas, a knife, 11 rounds of ammunition and two rounds of ammunition were recovered from the spot.

Chittagong RAB Assistant Director (Media) Nurul Absar said a RAB team was patrolling the Gandamara area. Some miscreants suddenly fired at them. RAB members also fired in self-defense. One person was found shot at the scene after the exchange of fire. He was later taken to a local hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. The locals said the dead person. He claimed that Alamgir alias Alam was known in the area as a robber.

According to RAB sources, there are 9 cases against Alamgir in different police stations of Chittagong including Banshkhali for robbery. The body of the deceased is at Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
