Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said, I will tell Hindu brothers and sisters, you are not afraid. Sheikh Hasina is with you, there is Awami League.
He made the remarks at a rally in front of the Awami League’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday (October 19th) morning. The ruling Awami League organized a ‘harmony rally’ to protest against communal terrorism.
Quader said Awami League leaders and activists would be on the ground against communal evil forces. The Awami League will deal with this evil force.
He said the BNP, which failed in the movement ahead of the elections, wants to fish in the muddy waters by inciting communal forces today. We know that this evil force has risen to the occasion at the instigation of Kader.
The general secretary of the Awami League said that those who are spreading the poison of communalism should not forget that there are more Muslim neighbors in India than there are Muslims in this country. If we put the minority here at risk, we have to think about the fact that there are more Muslims in India than we do, about their lives, about their lives.
It is to be mentioned that there were incidents of vandalism and attack on temples and houses in different districts of the country due to the recent incident of receiving ‘Quran’ in the puja mandapa in Comilla. Four people were killed in a clash between police and Chandpur locals. Last Sunday (October 18) night, a house of Hindus was attacked and set on fire in Pirganj, Rangpur. In Pirganj, 20 houses were set on fire.
