Law Minister Anisul Haque said immediate action would be taken on the Minority Protection Act.
He was speaking at a function at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the capital on Sunday (October 24th).
The law minister said communal violence has been carried out across the country to destabilize the country. Those involved will be given exemplary punishment regardless of their party affiliation. If anyone does wrong in the interest of the individual, they will also be brought to justice.
Anisul Haque also said that the accused are already being caught and investigation is underway.
He said, today Bangladesh is moving forward in a new way. I have come out of the culture of impunity and returned to the culture of justice.
The law minister said judges are very important to maintain the confidence of the people. Many cases were stuck due to the culture of impunity, these cases have been dealt with since this government came to power. 7 lakh cases will be settled next year.
