Abdul Momen said Bangabandhu has always emphasized on disaster mitigation. The government has built a safe house to deal with the disaster. At present, 100 cyclone shelters have been set up in the country.
Disaster management exercises were held at Army Golf Club in a joint venture between Bangladesh and the United States. 148 organizations from 23 countries participated in the exercise on disaster management.
