SSC candidates will be given priority in the corona vaccination program for 12-16 year old students in the country, said the Education Minister. Dipu Moni. He said SSC and equivalent examinations will start from November 14. So first the examinees will be vaccinated. However, students of other classes of different schools will also get vaccinated.

He said this while inaugurating the program at Ideal School and College in Motijheel on Monday (November 1) at 10 am.

The education minister said hygiene rules need to be followed even after vaccination. So we should all follow the hygiene rules.

He added that educational institutions had to be closed to prevent the spread of corona infection. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the vaccination so that schools and colleges could be reopened quickly. In his words, first we start vaccinating university students. Those activities are ongoing. This time 12-16 year olds were brought under the vaccine.

However, he is not sure whether it will be possible to vaccinate all the candidates before the start of SSC and equivalent examinations. Dipu Moni. However, all students, including English medium and madrasas, will be brought under the vaccine, he said.

The Ministry of Health has set a target of vaccinating 40,000 12- to 16-year-old students every day at eight centers in the capital, with the theme that all children will be vaccinated and health risks will be reduced.

Asked if it would be possible to vaccinate 40,000 students every day, the health minister said, “We have vaccinated more than 6 million in one day. We have that capacity.” It is possible to vaccinate 40,000 students every day. If more manpower is needed, we will make arrangements.

Besides, the health minister’s answer to the question of how to ensure the vaccination of the students who have dropped out, there is a vaccination system for everyone. However, the World Health Organization has not yet approved vaccinations for those under 12 years of age.
